Kenyamonte village

Well rehabilitation continues.

Kenyamonte is a village in the Serengeti District with a smaller population than some of our other sites. This project represented a chance for well rehabilitation to restore access to clean water for approximately 500 people. Unlike all of the other sites with which we worked, the pump at this location — an Afridev model — was in good condition and available for reuse. The team removed rocks that had become lodged in the pipe, flushed out the bore hole (as shown here in the video), and a new concrete slab and fence were installed. In days, the village had a local source of clean water and a new water committee.

The Mighty Men drillers start their clean-out of the old Kenyamonte well.
